A Visit From Saint Nicholas is a holiday project that provides a gift of a backpack filled with toys to 2,300 deserving children from seven local schools, including Pasadena, La Porte, Dickinson, Clear Creek and Texas City Independent School Districts. For many of these children, this is the only gift they will receive for the holidays.

Volunteer Houston Bay Area is inviting your company and its employees to join us in creating a magical experience for deserving students. A Visit From Saint Nicholas offers other benefits to supporting companies:

Corporate Volunteerism:  Employees can participate in the annual Packing Party, in which 175 corporate volunteers assist in stuffing the 2,300 backpacks with toys. Corporate volunteers can also deliver backpacks to the schools, decorate the classrooms, and visit with the children on St. Nick Day.

Recognition: Supporting companies are included in project-related marketing and publicity, and recognized at the St. Nick Kick Off Reception.

“ In Honor Of“ Gift Cards for clients and friends: Donations can be made as a gift “in honor of” clients and others  A special card is mailed, notifying them of the gift. A gift card is available for each $30 sponsorship of a child.

The event is coordinated by Volunteer Houston Bay Area and a committee of community and corporate volunteers. Generous support from corporate and individual donors make A Visit From Saint Nicholas possible.
